Event Design Using the Event Canvas – Full day program with 8 clock hours!

The Event Canvas is a strategic management template for developing new or documenting existing events and conference models. It’s a visual chart with elements describing an event’s promise and how the event will help stakeholders get their jobs done, resolving pains and creating gains within an established framework of commitment and expected returns.

In this HIGHLY interactive workshop, participants will learn how to select stakeholders, how to clearly articulate value and involve them in a constructive way. In addition, the Event Canvas will help to more effectively co-create with the event team, based on a clear structure and a common language.

Participants will learn: 

  1. Introduction to Event Design by understanding the event canvas methodology and templates to visually articulate the value of an event.
  2. Sketch the canvas of a random event with your peers as a team using the Event Simulator Facilitation Kit? 
  3. Appreciate visualisation of a case study to articulate how that event creates value 
  4. How to create, design and prototype events using the Event Canvas. 

Successful participants will be granted the Event Canvas Level 1 Certificate of Participation along with 8 Continuing Education clock hours in domain G: Meeting & Event Design as defined by the Convention Industry Council.

*NOTE: Due to the interactive nature of this workshop, the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 25.
