Stories from the Crypt: Coping with Change

  • Fort Edmonton Park - Selkirk Hotel - Cafe 7000 143 Street Edmonton Canada (map)

In the past 18 months there have been unprecedented examples of crisis affecting our industry.  This session will provide insights into a recent example of how suppliers and planners worked through unanticipated emergencies, covering the moving of a 1,000 person event with a 3 hour show in 24 hours.

This story will hit home for Albertan event planners as it happened during the Fort McMurray fires, and speaker Anne Finzer worked to move her event quickly to make space for evacuees at Northlands. She has told this story before, at World Education Congress (WEC) in Las Vegas this year, and we are excited to welcome her to discuss this topic with our local event industry.

The presentation will be accompanied by a round table discussion.
